For over four decades—since 1981—Paul has been more than just a business owner. He's been a mentor, a coach, a sponsor, a friend, and above all, a pillar in our community. Through Runnin' Gear, Paul built more than a store—he built a home for runners of all ages and abilities. Whether you were a seasoned marathoner or someone lacing up their first pair of running shoes, Paul met you with kindness, encouragement, and unmatched expertise.

His belief in the power of sport to bring people together has touched countless lives. From supporting local races and sponsoring youth programs, to personally volunteering at events rain or shine, Paul has been there—cheering from the sidelines, fitting shoes before sunrise, and always lending a helping hand.

In 2012, the Clarkston Wolfpack presented Paul with a stone marker, honoring 30 years of commitment to our athletes. Today, that legacy continues stronger than ever—now over 44 years and counting. He has inspired generations, not just to run faster or farther, but to run with heart.

Paul, your impact can’t be measured in miles or medals. It’s seen in the friendships you’ve fostered, the athletes you've supported, and the community you've built. You’ve given so much, expecting nothing in return, and for that, we are endlessly grateful.
